APS CELEBRATES COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
Aurora Public Schools will celebrate the continued support shown by community partners on Friday, November 20. APS will recognize State Farm and Big Brothers Big Sisters at a special news conference.
The State Farm Good Neighbor Citizenship grant awarded APS $50,000 in support of the Rebound program. Rebound provides an opportunity for expelled and dropout students to return to high school and complete their graduation requirements. The program has been so successful that a second location opened this year.
Big Brothers Big Sisters continues to support APS students and staff. The organization is partnering with APS to launch a mentoring program. Details surrounding the partnership will be revealed at the news conference.
