APS Staff Members Earn State Recognition

The Colorado School Counseling Association has named Rangeview High School counselor Dave West as the Colorado Counselor of the Year. West is an Anti-Defamation League certified diversity trainer. He was instrumental in helping Rangeview attain the Anti-Defamation League “No Place for Hate” designation.

Rangeview chemistry teacher Andy Kramer has earned the 2009 High School Level Science Teacher of the Year award, given by the Colorado Association of Science Teachers. Kramer teaches college prep and Advanced Placement Chemistry. He is also an adjunct professor at the Community College of Aurora.

Deborah Connor, a district coach and former Jewell Elementary teacher, recently earned the 2009 Colorado Council of Teachers of Mathematics Outstanding Teacher Award. Connor was one of seven teachers in the state to receive this award.
