APS Board of Education March 2 Budget Directives
At its March 2 meeting, the APS Board of Education provided the superintendent direction about initial budget reductions. The board provided announced $15.7 million in reductions. This is almost 50% of the reductions that will be required to balance the APS budget over the next 3 years. During this time, APS is facing more than $30 million in reductions due to anticipated state K-12 funding cuts.
Throughout this budget reduction process, the board has worked hard to be as thoughtful, collaborative and transparent as possible.
