November: Introduction to Tech Bucks

The Tech Bucks Program is designed to provide hardware/software for administrators who have taken training in the area of technology and to increase administrator efficiency. Parameters are as follows:

  • The program is only available to administrators/professional technical personnel.
  • Training sessions/classes are eligible to be counted for Tech Bucks starting from July 1, 1995.
  • Based on availability of funds, the number of Tech Bucks earned can accrue from one year to the next. Tech Bucks, when traded in, will be counted on a one-to-one ratio, meaning that each Tech Buck will earn one dollar in purchasing power.
  • At least 400 Tech Bucks must be accumulated before applying for reimbursement in actual dollars. Applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Approval is based on fund availability.
  • Any items that are purchased with District Tech Bucks are the property of the District and may move with the administrator within the District, but remain the property of the District if an administrator chooses to leave APS.
  • It is the individual administrator’s responsibility to keep track of classes/inservices/training sessions on the attached sheet.
  • Please contact Ivan Duran to check on your Tech Bucks account balance before making a purchase.
Money from other sources can be combined with money earned as part of Tech Bucks to make purchases. The above rules still apply.
