 New Teacher Technology Orientation:
In addition to the workshops at the New Teacher
Conference, all new teachers must attend ONE
technology orientation course (time & dates
listed below).

Topics include: APS Teacher resources,
voice mail, GroupWise email, network login,
and Infinite Campus login for attendance,
grading and student information.
Session dates: July 27, 30, & Aug. 3
Session times:
July 27
  • 2:00 - 4:30 pm
July 30 and Aug. 3
  • 7:00 - 9:30 am,
  • 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
  • 2:00 - 4:30 pm
Each session will be held at Educational
Services Center 1 (ESC 1), Room 110, Labs 1
and 2 in the Instructional Technology Training
Center which can accommodate 40 participants.
New teachers should check with their principals
to determine which session would least conflict
with planned activities at their sites before registering.

    I have a question about Google Earth. Can you take a picture from a digital camera and insert it into Google Earth at a site where you have inserted a placemarker?

  2. You can! You need to have the picture available somewhere on the web. You could post your picture to Flicker or Picassa Web (both free w/registration) and then put the picture in your place maker with some simple HTML coding. Give me a call and we can talk more if you want.

    Mary,
    There is an easier way. You can embed images and videos that are saved to your harddrive or server. All you have to do is input the code line below. The part in quotes needs to include the location and filename of your picture. Make sure you include the at either end.
