Click on International Baccalaureate Middle Years to open in Microsoft Word.Last year was the first year implementing the Middle Years Programme (MYP) school wide. Aurora Hills Middle School is one of only a few schools in the state of Colorado that offers school-wide MYP. MYP is certified by the International Baccalaureate Organization. MYP offers students a challenging program that focuses on developing critical thinking skills.
The MYP at Aurora Hills offers:
• A focus on academics in eight (8) core subjects, including a foreign language
• An opportunity to enroll in honors classes in all core subjects
• An approach that develops critical thinking and important life skills
• Intercultural awareness and understanding of responsible global citizenship
• Knowledge and skills necessary to participate actively in a changing world
• Priority access to the IB/MYP program at Hinkley High School
