The screening process is to identify child and family eligibility factors as determined by the Colorado Dept. of Education (CDE). Please visit our centralized admissions offices during these times:

We are having our 2nd annual book fair at the Child Development Center on March 23-27, 2009. Our book fair hours will be:

 M-F 9:00 am - 11:30 am & 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm.

We will stay open late from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm on 3-25 & 3-26 (Wed/Thurs). 

The Early Childhood Education Department is offering parents of preschoolers an informative evening entitled, Getting Ready for Kindergarten. Parents will learn about Kindergarten in Aurora Public Schools and the procedures for registration.  The event will be held at each of the two Aurora Public Schools Child Development Centers.   The two dates for the Getting Ready for Kindergarten event are March 23 and 24, 2009.  The March 23^rd event will be held at the Jamaica Child Development Center, 800 Jamaica Street in
Aurora.  The event is scheduled 5:30-7:30.  The second event is scheduled March 24, 2009, 5:30-7:30 at the Child Development Center, 1420 Laredo Street in Aurora.  The time for this event is 5:30 -7:30. Dinner and onsite childcare will be provided for children ages 2-7 on both dates.  This is a free event and each child will receive a free book.  

Reservations are required and can be made by calling the location where parents want to attend.  Reservations for the March 23^rd event at the Jamaica Child Development Center can be made by calling Fany Estrada at 303-364-8126 ext. 21835.    Reservations for the March 24^th event can be made by calling Norma Hernandez at 303-364-9371 ext. 21524. The deadline for reservations at both locations is March 19, 2009.
