Registration

The Colorado Preschool Program is a program funded by the Colorado Department of Education. This program is designed for three and four-year old children with a variety of at-risk factors. Screening is held annually in order to identify those children eligible for this program. The number of children serviced through this program is determined by the allocation of program funds by the Colorado Department of Education. Preschool Screening Procedures for 2009-2010 School Year:

We will begin screening for the Colorado Preschool Program every 3rd week of the month in February, March, and April 2009. Please visit our centralized admissions offices during these times:

6th Ave and Peoria Office: 8am to 12pm

Hoffman Heights Shopping Center

690 Peoria Street, Ste. F

Mississippi & Buckley Office: 1pm to 4pm

Somerset Village Shopping Center

1250 S. Buckley Road, Ste. L

*These locations will only be open for Preschool Screening on February 17-20, March 16-20 and April 20-24, 2009. Preschool Screening Procedures for the Colorado Preschool Program are a 3-Step process; Screening, Registration and Enrollment. Note: The Colorado Preschool Program does have limited availability. Participation in this 3-step process does not guarantee placement.

Kindergarten Registration: Child must be 5 years of age on or before October 1, 2009 to enter kindergarten in August 2009. Centralized Admissions will accept registration for Kindergarteners starting April 8, 2009 to May 1, 2009, Monday through Friday. You may visit our Centralized Admissions locations, 7:30am - 11:00am, at 1250 S. Buckley Road, Suite L (Mississippi & Buckley shopping center) or from 7:30am - 4:00pm, at 690 Peoria Street, Suite F (Hoffman Heights Shopping Center at 6th & Peoria). Phone number is 303-326-2200. We will be open during spring break. Please bring the following information:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Immunization Record (state required)
  • Photo ID of parent/guardian
  • PROOF YOU LIVE AT YOUR ADDRESS
  • If you own your home: Warranty Deed, current property tax bill, or current Xcel Energy bill
  • If you rent: a current signed lease
  • If you live with another family: please bring a notarized letter from the owner of the home stating that you live with them, the length of time that you will be living there and their signed lease if they rent or their Xcel bill if they own their home.
