The Galaxy Initiative is a program for 6th, 7th and 8th graders who are interested in the STEM areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Approximately 30 students will be accepted into the academies at each grade level.
The admission process begins with an evaluation of applicants’ motivation, commitment and academic performance.

Once again, it is time for the CSAP Test! Mrachek Middle School will be on a schedule of one test per day, beginning Monday, March 2. Testing will run 3/2 - 3/12 for 6th and 7th graders, and 3/2 - 3/18 for 8th grade. Read the rest of this entry »

The wonderful world of Dr. Seuss will come to life this month at Mrachek in the vibrant musical, Seussical Jr. Based on the works of Theodor Seuss Geisel, the show integrates many of his beloved characters and zany tales using a variety of catchy musical styles. The story centers around Horton the Elephant’s quest to save the people of Who, because “a person’s a person, no matter how small.” It is sure to tickle children and adults alike, reminding them that “Anything’s Possible.” Read the rest of this entry »
