Virginia Court Elementary

Dear Families, We’re off to a great start to the 2008-2009 school year and are so glad that you have chosen Virginia Court Elementary as your school! Our office staff has changed a little this year and I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome Mrs. Nikki Drakulich to our administrative team. Mrs. Drakulich has been a teacher at Virginia Court for the past three years and joins us this year in the office as a TOSA or Teacher on Special Assignment. Basically, Mrs. Drakulich’s responsibilities will be similar to those of an assistant principal as the TOSA role is a training ground for aspiring leaders. In addition to your principal and TOSA we continue to be able to provide our community with a family liaison. Emma Hernandez continues to serve in that role and is a helpful contact for our families. Emma is able to speak both English and Spanish and is available to help families with their translating needs. Please feel free to stop by at any time to talk to any of our administrative staff. We have an open door policy and always welcome parents. I know your schedules are very busy, but please take time to read the im-portant information contained in this newsletter. We’re excited to tell you about our first parent coffee, our Virginia Court GROWLers, and share in-formation about the upcoming Bond Issue and Mill Levy for the November Election. In addition, we’ve provided you with some tips for our upcoming conferences and included some basic safety information.
