Reviews:

Each one of you will be expected to POST at least 2 book reviews for CURRENT books that you are reading in class each quarter.  Look around the internet to see what good reviews have in them.

NEVER COPY AND PASTE OR USE ANYBODY ELSES THOUGHTS OR WORDS IN YOUR                                              REVIEW-IT WILL RESULT IN A ZERO ON YOUR ASIGNMENT!

Most reviews have a SHORT summary… one or two lines with the highlight of what happens without giving away the ending.  They mention a few of the characters in the book and why they were or were not cool.  They, then, should go into a BIG paragraph of detail about whether or not the READER liked the book and then give specific examples about why.  What was it that drew you to the book?  Why did you like certain characters/plot lines/conflicts?  Why did you dislike aspects of the book?  How were you, as a reader, able to connect to the book?  What did you learn or take away from this book that you will carry on with you in your life, in your future novel hunting, or in your writing?

Very Important: To receive credit for your review, you need to end your review with a dash (-) and then your first and last name.

PLEASE BE SURE TO POST YOUR ENTRY TO THE PAGE THAT CORRESPONDS TO THE CLASS PERIOD THAT YOU ARE ENROLLED- OTHERWISE YOU MAY NOT RECEIVE CREDIT. HOWEVER, FEEL FREE TO BROWSE THE OTHER PAGES TO GET IDEAS FOR THE NEXT BOOK THAT YOU WANT TO READ!Please post your 1st book review for the end of last quarter here by Friday, November 7th, 2008 @ midnight.

Please post your 2nd book review for 1st book of this quarter here by Tuesday, November 25th, 2008 @ midnight.

Please post your 3rd book review for the 2nd book of this quarter here by Friday, December 12th, 2008 @ midnight.

Make sure that you are pacing yourself to finish enough books by the end of the quarter for the dates listed.  You will be given 20-30 minutes of class time each time that we meet for class to read and you are expected to read at least 30 minutes every night at home, even if you do not have English class that day, Holidays included.
