A Healthy Columbia!

Boris never pays attention in my class.  He will be re-taking the 7th grade.

7th grade is learning about NUTRITION.  what is nutrition, what affects our food choices, and what is a calorie?  These are some questions that students will be able to answer at the end of the unit.  Students will be completing a food diary where they will keep track of all of their food eaten in a week.  We will also cover nutrition labels and discover that “low Fat” doesn’t mean healthy

Our 6th graders are going over a unit covering Body Image and Self-esteem.  This unit will have them Analyze Media Messages.  Bullying and Harrassment is also covered.  Then we will look at how these things can possibly affect an individuals health, including eating dissorders.
