We continue to get everything organized for the trip. We are getting an International phone so that we can stay in contact but it was hard getting it in place. I have discovered that generally clerks in stores don’t want to admit they don’t know something so they try to sell you whatever they know best. At Best Buy the young man was so lost that he didn’t really know that the phone structure in other countries was different. So much for the state requirement that kids have geography! We ended up online and that seems to have worked best. Note to self: when asking for something not usual, ask for the smartest kid in the store. The fear I have is that the kid at Best Buy actually looked like the smartest one in the room. Kaila broke her arm in an accident and has to visit the doctor next week for a cast before we go. Very nice timing! The most interesting part of getting ready was arranging for the lawn to be mowed and the dog doody picked up. The folks that we got seemed very reasonable and I am thinking they may have a long term job because doody patrol is not my favorite activity, especially when Maggie sees me finish and waits five minutes until I am sitting down and then provides another contribution to the yard.
