Hi, my name is Rachael O’Hayre and I currently teach one 6th Grade Advanced Math class (academy) and two 7th Grade General Education Math classes. This is my third year teaching and absolutely love it! We have recently gone to Standards Based Grading which means your student will be working on and graded on certain standards, benchmarks, and “lookfors” each quarter. I have, at your request, a list of benchmarks and standards by quarter, just let me know. These are not by any means a complete list of what your student should know by the end of the year but a run through of the ideas and concepts covered. Your students will normally receive 1 to 2 Practice Assignments to do at home per week. The practice is usually assigned on Monday due Wednesday and Wednesday due Friday.
