Introduction
February 22nd, 2010 by sjescobedoMy name is Saul Escobedo and this is my first year teaching at North Middle School. I co-teach 6th grade Literacy with Erika Eichelberg. Our goal this year is to have students read and understand a variety of materials, write and speak for a variety of purposes and audiences, and apply thinking skills to reading, writing, speaking listening, and viewing. Furthermore, as a team, we believe that students should be able to read and locate, select and make use of relevant information from a variety of sources, and read and recognize literature as a record of the human experience. We feel these goals will challenge students to think independently and strive to be sucessful readers and writers. Therefore, truly giving them the tools they need to be successful in school and become productive members of their community.
