Eager Learners

At this point, most students should have an independent reading book.  Students read silently for 30 minutes a day.  I love this time of peace and quiet.  Independent reading allows for me, the teacher, to get insight into how my students make meaning.  It also allows time for students to practice what they have seen me do during demonstrations.

I am so excited about the 2008-2009 SY!  After numerous years teaching at North MS, I decided to make a change.  I am teaching 6th grade at Boston!  Boston is such a beautiful school with an amazing staff!  I really miss North, but I am looking forward to my new “home” at Boston.
